Prof. Manoj Kumar Sinha, Dean of Swami Vivekananda School of Library Sciences, Assam University, Silchar has been re-appointed as the Head of the Department of Library and Information Science , Assam University, Silchar for a period of three years w. e. f. 28th August 2025
He has taken over the charge of HoD from Prof. Mukut Sarmah of the Department.
Prior to this , he served as the HoD of the Deaprtment since its inception from 19th November 2009 till 27th August , 2022
